JOA plans to acquire Italy's CCS to expand its global hygiene equipment footprint!

Curt G. Joa (JOA), a world-renowned manufacturer of hygiene products machinery, recently announced that it has signed an agreement to acquire Italian equipment manufacturer Cellulose Converting Solutions (CCS), which will significantly enhance its market influence in Europe and expand its global business.

JOA plans to acquire Italy's CCS to expand its global hygiene equipment footprint!

JOA, headquartered in Sheboygen Falls, Wisconsin, is a global leader in high-speed hygiene equipment. Its operations in Mayen, Germany, were acquired from Bikoma in 2015. CCS, which is headquartered in Pescara, Italy, is a major supplier of medium-speed hygiene equipment and has rich talent resources and supply chain advantages in the local manufacturing ecosystem.

Rick Michaeletz, President of JOA, said: "This acquisition not only brings together two family-owned companies with similar corporate cultures, but also brings a highly complementary product line portfolio. JOA's high-speed machines and CCS's medium-speed equipment complement each other and will meet the diverse needs of customers. Coupled with the complementary geographical layout, we can further enhance our global service capabilities and better promote and integrate our patented technologies."

Fabio Quadrio, President and CEO of CCS, said that joining JOA "is the realization of my dream for many years." He said: "From the first contact, I felt the resonance of both parties in values, dedication and customer orientation. We are both customer-centric, detail-oriented, respectful of talents, and innovative. This cooperation will provide us with a platform for common development and drive us to continue to bring forward-looking, intelligent and caring solutions to the market."

Through this acquisition, JOA will significantly strengthen its layout in the European market, forming a complete coverage of sanitary product machinery solutions from medium speed to high speed, providing more flexible and efficient services to global customers. This also marks a key step in its globalization strategy, and will work with CCS to build a more innovative and service-oriented industry future.
