German nonwovens manufacturer TWE is currently constructing a new production facility in Bhopal, India. Initially, the facility will feature two production lines focused on providing acquisition layers, as well as lightweight topsheets and backsheets, for the baby care, feminine care, and adult incontinence markets. The facility is designed to be scalable, with the capacity to accommodate four to six production lines in the future.
TWE previously entered the Indian market in 2023 through a joint venture with Obeetee Textiles (OTL). At the time of the joint venture's establishment, it stated that it would invest in nonwovens production capacity for the hygiene sector.
