Freudenberg launches new fine denier spunbond technology!

Freudenberg Performance Materials recently launched a new fine denier spunbond technology, which is designed for a variety of applications such as filtration, construction, coating, etc. The material has excellent performance, flexible customization, and is compatible with a variety of polymers and fiber structures, showing strong market applicability.

Freudenberg launches new fine denier spunbond technology!

This innovative technology can use PET, PE or PP, supports 100% single material or a variety of blended structures such as PET/PE, PET/coPET, PET/mPP, etc., using single-component or two-component fibers, with a fineness range of 2.5 to 3dtex and a grammage range of 17 to 140gsm. Thermal bonding is achieved through flat roll calendering or point heat sealing to ensure that the nonwoven fabric has high tensile strength, tear resistance and a smooth and uniform surface.

In the construction field, Freudenberg's fine denier nonwovens are particularly suitable for roofing, exterior wall protective membranes, moisture barriers, etc., as a powerful supplement to its Terbond, Texbond and Colback products. These materials have high nail puncture strength, UV resistance and high temperature resistance, meeting the high requirements of the construction market for durability and performance.

In the filtration market, fine denier materials are promoted under the Filtura brand, focusing on liquid filtration applications such as coolants and lubricants. At the same time, nonwovens with PET-PA and PET-PE structures have also expanded their performance in application scenarios such as glass fiber, nano and activated carbon support layers.

The packaging field also benefits from this technology. The fully synthetic PET/PE fine denier material has excellent heat sealing performance and does not require the addition of chemical binders. It is particularly suitable for desiccant bags and dehumidification products. It has high strength, wear resistance and durability, and supports fast and efficient bag molding production.

In the coating industry, fine denier nonwovens have excellent chemical and thermal stability and can be used as an ideal coating substrate, such as the lightweight and smooth material required for cold wax depilatory patches. In addition, this technology is also suitable for agricultural coverings, decorations and other industrial and consumer uses. With the continuous upgrading of technology, Freudenberg is providing reliable and environmentally friendly material support for multiple industries with its high-performance and customizable fine denier spunbond solutions, demonstrating its leading strength in the field of nonwoven materials.
